Bay Area 1: A Visit With Na'ilah

And so it begins: our big trip to the Bay Area to see friends and family over Memorial Day began with a visit to our friend (and Ben's dissertation advisor), Nai'lah Nasir, in Richmond. We had a fun time with her and her adorable son, Ajeyei, who is just a little older than Jackson. We played in the playground near their house overlooking San Francisco Bay - "big water," according to our little landlocked son, and after saying goodbye we hit the local In-N-Out Burger for the usual: Double-Double with cheese, fries, and a milkshake. A fantastic start to our trip.
