The World's Greatest Snack Bar - and Sand Dunes.

We took a road trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in SW Colorado last week. It was great. We saw a hippie practicing her hippie balls-on-a-string thing at Kenosha Pass (only BJ and JMK pictured below); we ran into a friend of Ben's from Denver in the tiny town of Fairplay (not pictured); we swam at the Sand Dunes Swimming Pool hot springs, which boasts The World's Best Snack Bar (below); we watched Animal Planet's "World's Ugliest Dog Competition" at 3am in the motel in order to calm a screaming Jackson who had been awakened by his mother accidentally spilling cold water all over him (not pictured); and of course we frolicked at the Great Sand Dunes themselves, nestled in the gorgeous San Luis Valley, right up against the Sangre De Cristo mountains (below). We even listened to the Paul Simon song in which he mentions those very same mountains. It was fun.
