San Francisco Part 2 - December 2010

Early December: I flew out to San Francisco and met up with Phebe, Meg, and Jen to run my first half-marathon, the North Face Endurance Trail Marathon. Why did they have to put the word "endurance" in there?

The first mile: all uphill. As was most of the rest of the 12 miles. This shot was taken before the whipping fog, rain, and wind gusts began.

Post-race: still standing! Actually, I felt great. So thankful to my gals for the moral support.

Post-post-race: milkshake with Nat at the St. Francis Ice Cream Parlor in the Mission. He'd just gotten off his shift at SF General Hospital - didn't you always suspect that's what your doctor did after work?
