Spring Break 2010: Tucson!

It was a lot darker in Tucson than we expected. Well, in the caves, anyway.

Camera flashes helped light the way out.

Highlight of the wonderful Sonoran Desert Museum: Prickly Pear Punch. What's in it? Don't ask.

Cacti and everything!

And the cactus league: Rockies vs. Padres. A late afternoon storm came in and drove us out. Luckily, the Rockies were staying at our hotel, so we got to see a lot of 'em later, anyway. Not playing, though - just hanging out at the pool.

Amazing Sonoran food at El Guero Canelo. Carne asada burritos? Better than SF's Mission (sorry, it's true). And then there's the Sonoran Hot Dog. And the horchata. And the amazing flan. And I don't even like flan, but I loved this flan. Sigh.

(below: At the hotel pool. No baseball players in sight; just baseball players' girlfriends.)
