Manuscript sendoff party: October 09

We had a few folks over to celebrate.
Amanda brought several delightful desserts, including shortbread finger cookies served on a Skilsaw. A little nerve-wracking to reach for, but well worth the risk.

Ted and I swapped glasses at one point because otherwise our outfits would have been too over-the-top. You know, "take one thing off" before you leave the house, etc...

Caela made another one of her delicious cakes. This one is Big Bird holding a stack of MY books. Where does she get those cake pans?

Well, she's royalty, so that probably explains the cookware.

The footmen waited outside all night; we did manage to slip them a couple fingers.
