Vermont 2009 - St. Johnsbury

Another beautiful (if rainy) summer vacation in Vermont with Lewis, Dawn, and the Kiryks.

We finally visited the fabled Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury. It is a nineteenth century gem of a wunderkammer, filled with taxidermied beasts, arcane musical instruments, and this objet d'art (above): one in a series of images constructed entirely of BUGS (mostly flies and beetles). The nineteenth century ruled.

Dinner on the porch.
