Taxation Without Representation

Ever since I heard about Washington, D.C.'s license plate slogan: "Taxation Without Representation," I've wanted to visit our nation's sassiest city. The fact that it is our nation's capitol was another plus... along with the free museums (thanks, Smithsonian!).
So when our dear pals Alex and Tamara moved there, we knew a trip was in order. It took us a while, but the wait was worth it.
Just in the nick of time, Jackson manages to avoid "Capitol Head"
- one of the city's most common photographic afflictions.
Izzy, you are a DREAMBOAT.

Hannah, Izzy, and Jackson (with stethescope - don't ask).

Alex, Ben, Tamara, and the Stroller Brigade attempt to
maneuver in the DC Metro - a thrill for our suburban Little J, whose life is
almost totally devoid of public transportation. Sigh.

Apparently, you're supposed to read to your kid every day.

Who knew?
